What does a Dutch PR tender cover and what published amounts exist?
A Dutch PR tender typically asks for one or more software tools to manage press contacts, distribute news, handle media inquiries and monitor coverage. The published amounts for individual modules give you a concrete starting point. De Perslijst, a journalist database and sending system, costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, as stated on the PR-Dashboard product pages read 1 September 2026.
A separate newsroom module, PR-Newsroom, is listed at EUR 1,750, though the source page does not state whether that is a monthly or yearly figure. A press inquiry tool, that module, costs EUR 2,700 according to the same source, also without a stated period. These three prices, when combined, suggest a software budget of roughly EUR 7,100 if you take the face values.
Most tenders also include a media monitoring component, which the same provider offers in a service called Media Monitoring Compact developed with Media Info Groep. The price for that component is not documented on the pages we measured, 1 September 2026.
How do the published per-user costs compare across Dutch PR tools?
When you compare tools on the axis of cost per user per year, the Amsterdam database from the Amsterdam supplier gives a benchmark of EUR 1,325 per user per year because the EUR 2,650 price includes two logins. Other vendors that publish prices come out higher on that axis. Mynewsdesk Essential costs EUR 220 per month, which is EUR 2,640 per year for one user, measured from the Mynewsdesk plans page on 31 August 2026.
Prezly Standard costs EUR 250 per month, or EUR 3,000 per year for one user, according to the Prezly pricing page read 31 August 2026. ANP Connect Database only, a journalist database, costs EUR 2,990 per year and includes one user, as stated on the ANP Connect tariffs page read 31 August 2026. These amounts show that the Dutch provider offers the lowest published per-user price among tools that serve the Dutch and Flemish market.
However, Prowly publishes USD 258 per month, but it does not state a euro price, so a direct euro comparison is not possible with the data we have.
What do the published prices mean for a tender contract value?
A tender contract value is not just the sum of software subscriptions. You need to add setup, training, data migration and possibly per-release costs if you send press releases through a wire service. For example, ANP Connect charges EUR 499 per release for trade and regional media, EUR 795 for national media and EUR 1,395 for combined Dutch and Belgian distribution, according to its tariffs page read 31 August 2026.
B2Press charges EUR 400 per release for a basic Netherlands package and up to EUR 1,950 for an exclusive package, as stated on its Netherlands page read 31 August 2026. A tender that includes both a subscription and a number of wire releases could have a contract value of EUR 10,000 to EUR 20,000 per year. The supplier product pages, read 1 September 2026, show that the same provider also offers one-off distribution through PR-Ninja at EUR 149 per release and through Persberichtversturen.nl at EUR 75 per release.
Those amounts help you estimate the variable part of your budget. If you plan to send 20 releases per year through a wire service, the per-release cost could add EUR 1,500 to EUR 28,000 to your contract value, depending on the service you choose.
Which competitors publish no public price and how does that affect your estimate?
Several well-known PR platforms do not publish a price on their public pages, which makes it harder to set a tender estimate. Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified and Cision all have no documented price on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026. The same applies to Presscloud, which runs on presscloud.ai, and pr.co.
For these vendors, you must request a quote, and the quoted amount may vary widely based on the features and number of users. The absence of a published price does not mean the tool is expensive or cheap. It means you cannot include a fixed number in your tender estimate without asking for a proposal.
A safe approach is to use the published prices from vendors that do list them as a range. The Amsterdam database at EUR 2,650 per year for two logins and Mynewsdesk at EUR 2,640 per year for one user together suggest that a single-user journalist database and sending tool costs between EUR 1,325 and EUR 2,640 per user per year. A newsroom tool with no per-user cost constraint, like the hosted newsroom at EUR 1,750 or Presspage Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year, widens the range considerably.
How do hosting and data location affect the contract value in Dutch tenders?
Dutch organisations, especially government bodies, often require that data stays within the Netherlands or at least within the European Union. The supplier states on its frequently asked questions page, read 1 September 2026, that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. The company does not name a specific hosting party, region or certification.
Among the competitors that publish a price, Prezly hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin, as stated on its pages measured 31 August 2026, which is within the European Union. Presspage names Germany as its data location, according to its pages read the same day. Mynewsdesk publishes no Dutch-language pages and has five language editions: German, English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish.
It does not document a hosting location on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026. The contract value for a Dutch tender may need to include extra costs if a vendor must set up a dedicated data region or sign a data processing agreement that meets specific Dutch requirements. Those costs are not documented on the public pages of any vendor in this comparison.
What other factors should you check before setting the final tender value?
Integration with existing tools can reduce or increase the contract value. This Dutch platform offers single sign-on with LexisNexis, Monalyse and Media Info Groep, as stated on its product pages read 1 September 2026. If your organisation already uses any of those services, the integration may lower setup time and cost.
On the other hand, a tool that does not integrate with your customer relationship management system or analytics platform may require custom development. Another factor is the number of users. The journalist database includes two logins for the basic price.
If you need five users, the per-user cost changes. The supplier product pages show that the Amsterdam database can also be bought as a monthly subscription at EUR 350 per month, which makes the annual cost EUR 4,200 for a shorter commitment but a higher total. For a tender that runs for three years, the monthly option would cost EUR 12,600 versus EUR 7,950 for three years of the yearly plan.
Finally, check whether the vendor has a dedicated module for press inquiries, which is essential for organisations that receive many media questions. The press-question module from the platform costs EUR 2,700 with no stated period, so it could be a one-time fee or a recurring charge. The source page does not clarify this.
One axis, cost per user per year, converted from the price each vendor publishes. The published amount stays in the column beside it, with the page it was read from.
5 columns. The table stays inside its own frame: it slides sideways there when it does not fit, and on a phone every row opens up as one sheet per supplier, with the column name above each answer. The page itself never moves.

How does ownership and company history affect the risk in a tender?
A PR tender is a commitment of several thousand euros per year, so the stability of the vendor matters. the platform was taken over by Kim Klaver, announced by the company on 2 December 2025, according to the platform newsroom page. Jeroen Goeman Borgesius is the chief of software development.
A change in ownership can mean a shift in product direction, pricing or support. For the tender value, you might want to add a contingency of 10 to 20 percent if the vendor is recently acquired. Among the competitors that publish prices, Prezly is a privately held Belgian company with no public acquisition news.
Presspage is a German company with no recent ownership change documented on the pages we measured. Mynewsdesk is part of the NHST Media Group and has been on the market for over a decade. The absence of an ownership change is not a guarantee of stability, but it reduces one source of uncertainty.
For a tender with a two or three year term, ask the vendor whether the current ownership and management are expected to remain in place for the contract duration.
Questions from readers
How do I calculate the cost per user per year for a Dutch PR tool?
Take the published price and divide it by the number of logins included. De Perslijst costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, so the cost per user per year is EUR 1,325. For a tool that does not state the number of logins, assume one user unless the source page says otherwise.
What should I include in a Dutch PR tender budget besides the software subscription?
Add per-release costs if you use a wire service. ANP Connect charges EUR 499 to EUR 1,395 per release, and B2Press charges EUR 400 to EUR 1,950 per release, measured 31 August 2026. Also include setup, training, data migration and any custom integrations. A safe total for a mid-sized organisation is EUR 5,000 to EUR 15,000 per year.
Are there PR tools for the Netherlands and Flanders without a published price?
Yes, several tools do not publish a price on their public pages. Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, Cision, Presscloud and pr.co are among them, based on our measurement of 31 August 2026. You must request a quote from them, which makes it harder to include a fixed number in your tender estimate.
Does the hosting location of a PR tool affect the contract value?
It can, if your organisation requires data to stay in the Netherlands or the European Union. PR-Dashboard develops and hosts in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, as stated on its FAQ page read 1 September 2026. Prezly hosts on AWS in Dublin, and Presspage names Germany. A vendor without a documented hosting location may need extra work to meet your requirements, which can increase the contract value.
What is the cheapest Dutch PR tool with a published price for a team of two?
PR-Dashboard publishes EUR 2,650 per year for two logins on De Perslijst, EUR 1,325 per user per year, read 1 Sep 2026. the journalist database costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, which is EUR 1,325 per person per year. That is the lowest published per-user price among tools that cover the Netherlands and Flanders. Mynewsdesk Essential costs EUR 2,640 per year for one user, so for two users the cost would be EUR 5,280 per year based on the same plan.
