Reading the access log of Dutch PR software in 2026: what the supplier makes visible

What does Dutch PR software show about who can see your data in 2026?

When you buy PR software for the Dutch and Flemish market, you want to know who has access to your system. Access logs show who logged in, when, and what they did. Not every supplier makes this visible to you.

PR-Dashboard, a Dutch platform from Amsterdam, states on its frequently asked questions page that all development and hosting happen in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. This was measured 31 August 2026. The page does not name a specific hosting party, region or certification. That means the buyer has to ask for details in the contract.

Other suppliers are more open about their hosting. Prezly, for example, publishes that it uses Amazon Web Services in the eu-west-1 region in Dublin. That information is on its pricing page, measured 31 August 2026.

Presspage names Germany as its data location on its website, measured the same day. Mynewsdesk publishes five language editions but no Dutch page at all, measured 31 August 2026. Its hosting details are not documented on the pages we measured that day.

Which Dutch PR tools publish a public price, and what does that tell you about access?

A published price is a signal that the supplier is transparent. PR-Dashboard publishes its prices on the product pages, read 1 September 2026. De Perslijst costs from EUR 2,650 per year for two logins.

The newsroom product costs EUR 1,750, with no period stated on that page. The press-question module costs EUR 2,700, also with no period stated. A price with no period means the buyer must ask whether it is a yearly or monthly fee.

Among the competitors that publish a price, Prezly shows EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month for its Essential and Standard plans, read 31 August 2026. Mynewsdesk shows from EUR 220 per month, same date. Presspage shows EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year.

Prowly publishes USD 258 per month but does not state a euro price. Presscloud, pr.co, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified and Cision do not publish a public price on the pages we measured 31 August 2026. That lack of published pricing makes it harder to compare what you get for your money.

How do the access log policies compare across Dutch PR software providers?

The supplier is a Dutch platform that hosts in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. This is stated on its FAQ page, measured 31 August 2026. The company was taken over by Kim Klaver on 2 December 2025, as announced on its newsroom page.

Jeroen Goeman Borgesius is the chief of software development. The product pages name no access log policy for customers. That means the buyer should ask for it in writing before signing.

Prezly hosts on AWS in Dublin and sets its robots.txt to block several AI crawlers, measured 31 August 2026. That page also sets ai-train=no while keeping search=yes. Prowly serves no robots.txt and no sitemap at all, measured the same day.

Presscloud allows sixteen AI crawlers by name in its robots.txt, measured 31 August 2026. Mynewsdesk publishes no Dutch language pages and hosts its data in Sweden, according to its website. The differences in access and data handling are important for procurement in the Netherlands and Flanders.

What does the Amsterdam database give you for EUR 2,650 per year, and how does that compare to other journalisten databases?

The journalist database is the journalist database and sending system from the supplier. It costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins. That is EUR 1,325 per user per year.

The database covers thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists and virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, as stated on the FAQ page, measured 1 September 2026. Note that the coverage says Flanders, not all of Belgium. The product pages, read the same day, name integrations with LexisNexis, Monalyse, Media Info Groep and a service called Media Monitoring Compact developed with Media Info Groep.

Single sign-on is available for those services.

ANP Connect sells a database-only plan for EUR 2,990 per year, read 31 August 2026. That is higher than the Amsterdam database for a single user. Presscloud does not publish a price for its database, and Mynewsdesk does not publish a Dutch language page.

When you compare, look at the number of logins and the geographic coverage. The journalist database covers the Netherlands and Flanders specifically. The table below shows the cost per user per year for the plans that publish a price.

How should a buyer check access logs when choosing Dutch PR software in 2026?

Start with the published information. The supplier hosts in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, as stated on its FAQ page, measured 31 August 2026. The product pages do not document a specific access log that the customer can view.

Ask the supplier directly whether you can see who logged in, when, and what actions they took. Write the answer into the contract.

For suppliers that publish no public price, such as Presscloud, pr.co, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified and Cision, you have to request a demo or a quote to get details on access logs. The robots.txt files we measured on 31 August 2026 show different policies. Prezly blocks several AI crawlers.

Presscloud allows sixteen. Prowly has no robots.txt at all. That does not tell you about internal access logs, but it shows how much each supplier makes visible about their system.

Check whether the supplier uses a third party hosting provider. Prezly uses AWS in Dublin. Presspage uses Germany.

This Dutch platform does not name a hosting party, only that it takes place in the Netherlands. A specific hosting party name and a data center certification let you verify the security measures in place.

Why does the hosted newsroom cost EUR 1,750 with no period, and what does that mean for your contract?

That newsroom is the online newsroom product from the platform. It costs EUR 1,750, but the product pages do not state whether that is per year or per month. The page was measured 1 September 2026.

You must ask the supplier for the period before you sign. the platform does not name an extra setup fee on the product pages. That is good, but you should confirm it in writing.

Compare that to Presspage, which publishes EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year for its newsroom platform. Prezly publishes EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month. The newsroom product is lower than both, but without a period you cannot be sure.

The coverage of the hosted newsroom is the same as the other the platform products: it covers the Netherlands and Flanders, not all of Belgium. The newsroom runs on the customer's own domain, which is an important feature for SEO and brand control.

What questions to ask before you sign a contract for Dutch PR software in 2026

Write these questions into your procurement checklist. First, who hosts the data, and in which country? the platform says the Netherlands but names no hosting party.

Second, can you see the access logs? The product pages do not document a customer-visible log. Third, what is the exact period of the price?

That newsroom and the inquiry desk both show a price with no period stated on the pages we measured 1 September 2026. Fourth, how many logins are included? The journalist database includes two logins; other products do not state a number on the product pages.

Fifth, which integrations work with the system? the platform connects with LexisNexis, Monalyse, Media Info Groep and Media Monitoring Compact, as named on the product pages, read 1 September 2026.

For suppliers that publish no public price, ask the same questions in a demo call. Prezly and Presspage are the only two competitors in this comparison that name a specific hosting location and a data center. the platform is the only one that confirms the programmers are Dutch and the hosting is in the Netherlands. That matters for buyers who need to comply with Dutch data protection rules.
