What happens to your press archive when you change PR suppliers in the Netherlands in 2026?

How do you avoid losing press release history when switching PR suppliers?

You need to check three things before you sign a contract. First, does the vendor state a standard export format on its product pages? Second, does that format embed the metadata such as date, title, and body text inside the file?

What can you do to keep press releases readable after switching to another supplier?

You can ask the current vendor for a PDF export with metadata before you move the account. Make sure the PDF contains the date, headline, and full body text. Store the PDFs in a folder named by the press release date.

If the vendor does not offer a standard PDF export, you can save each press release manually as a PDF from the browser and check that the text is selectable, not a scanned image. That means if you are a platform user, your archive is already in a portable format.
