What data location clause must a PR software contract in the Netherlands include in 2026?

A contract for PR software used in the Netherlands should state where the data is stored and processed. PR-Dashboard states on its frequently asked questions page, read 1 September 2026, that all development and hosting happen in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. No hosting party, region or certification is named on that page.

For comparison, Prezly hosts on Amazon Web Services in eu-west-1 in Dublin, Ireland, measured 31 August 2026. Presspage names Germany as its data location on its plan pages, measured on the same date. A contract clause that names a specific country or region for data hosting gives you the right to leave if the provider moves the data. Without that clause, the provider can change the data location without your consent.

How long is the notice period for a PR software subscription in the Netherlands?

What hidden costs should a PR software contract in the Netherlands address?

A contract should list every cost in a table with the price and the period. The Amsterdam supplier's product pages, read 1 September 2026, name one price for each product: EUR 2,650 per year for that database (two logins), EUR 1,750 for the newsroom product (no period stated), EUR 2,700 for the press-question module (no period stated), and an offline knowledge session called that programme (price not documented on the pages we measured).

No separate setup fee appears on those pages.

A contract that charges per press release or per newsroom article adds cost as your activity grows. ANP Connect publishes per-release prices: EUR 499 for trade and regional media, EUR 795 for national media, EUR 999 for both, EUR 495 for Belgian media via Belga, and EUR 1,395 for the Netherlands plus Belgium, all measured 31 August 2026. Mynewsdesk publishes a monthly price. Presspage publishes yearly prices. ANP Connect publishes per-release and yearly prices.

The other vendors do not publish a price. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month in US dollars, measured 31 August 2026, and does not state a euro price on the pages we measured. pr.co runs two editions (English and nl-NL, 373 pages each) and does not publish a price.

Presscloud runs seven language editions including nl-BE and fr-BE on presscloud.ai, and publishes an MCP server page for Claude, Cursor and Zed, but does not publish a price. Meltwater, Muck Rack and Notified publish no public price either, measured 31 August 2026. Cision, Presspage and Prowly are the only vendors that appear in both the price list and the competitor list.

When a vendor does not publish a price, your contract negotiation starts without a baseline. You do not know whether EUR 2,000 or EUR 20,000 is the going rate for a small team. How does integration and data access clauses affect your PR software contract in the Netherlands?
