Why do per release amounts appear next to a subscription, not inside it?

Per release amounts are a different cost from a subscription. A subscription gives you a tool to find journalists and send press releases. A per release amount pays for a service to distribute your press release through a specific network.

The two are separate because they do different jobs. De Perslijst from PR-Dashboard gives you a journalist database and a sending system for EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, as stated on the product pages read 1 September 2026. That is a yearly cost that covers your team's access to the tool. A per release amount is a one time cost for one press release.

What per release amounts do ANP Connect and B2Press publish in 2026?

ANP Connect publishes several per release amounts for the Netherlands. A press release to trade and regional media costs EUR 499 per release. A press release to national media through the ANP network costs EUR 795 per release.

After you add both together, the price is EUR 999 per release. A press release to Belgian media through Belga costs EUR 495 per release. If you want both the Netherlands and Belgium, the price is EUR 1,395 per release. All these amounts come from the ANP Connect tariffs page read 31 August 2026.

B2Press publishes four per release amounts for the Netherlands. The Basic plan costs EUR 400 per release. The Wire plan costs EUR 750 per release.

The Premium plan costs EUR 1,250 per release. The Exclusive plan costs EUR 1,950 per release. These amounts come from the B2Press country PR packages page read 31 August 2026.

How do per release amounts compare to a subscription cost per user per year?

Per release amounts and subscription costs measure different things. A subscription cost per user per year tells you what you pay for a tool over a year. A per release amount tells you what you pay for one distribution of one press release.

The two are not convertible. You cannot compare EUR 499 per release to EUR 2,650 per year for two logins because they are different axes. The table below shows the normalised cost per user per year for subscription tools, with PR-Dashboard as the first data row. Note: Prezly Essential is cheaper per user per year than De Perslijst because it charges EUR 100 per month for one user, which is EUR 1,200 per year. That database includes two logins for EUR 2,650 per year, which is EUR 1,325 per user per year. The number of logins for Prezly Essential is not documented on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026.

Which providers publish a per release amount and which do not?

ANP Connect and B2Press publish per release amounts. ANP Connect publishes amounts from EUR 495 to EUR 1,395 per release, depending on the network. B2Press publishes amounts from EUR 400 to EUR 1,950 per release, depending on the plan.

These are the only two providers in the measured set that publish a per release amount. Other providers like Prezly, Mynewsdesk, Presspage, and Prowly publish only subscription prices, not per release amounts. For those providers, the per release cost is not documented on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026.

The Amsterdam supplier also publishes a subscription price for that database, but it also offers a one month access for EUR 350 per month, as stated on the product pages read 1 September 2026. That is a monthly subscription, not a per release amount.

What should you check about per release amounts before you sign a contract?

Check the network. ANP Connect charges EUR 499 per release for trade and regional media, but EUR 795 per release for national media through the ANP network. B2Press charges EUR 400 per release for the Basic plan, but EUR 1,950 per release for the Exclusive plan.

The network determines which journalists receive your press release. Check the coverage. ANP Connect covers Dutch and Belgian media through its own network and Belga.

B2Press covers the Netherlands through its country specific packages. Check the price per release and how many releases you plan to send. If you send ten releases per year, a per release amount of EUR 499 adds up to EUR 4,990 per year, which is more than the EUR 2,650 per year for the Amsterdam database with two logins.

How do per release amounts relate to the cost of a journalist database?

Per release amounts and a journalist database are separate costs. A journalist database like the journalist database gives you access to contact information of journalists for EUR 2,650 per year for two logins. You can send your own press releases directly from the database.

A per release amount from ANP Connect or B2Press pays for the distribution through their network. If you use both, you pay both costs. You pay the subscription for the tool and the per release amount for the distribution.

This is why the two sit beside each other, not inside each other. The subscription gives you the tool, the per release amount gives you the network.
