What data security certificates do PR suppliers in the Netherlands publish on their websites in 2026?
Most PR suppliers that sell to Dutch buyers do not document a security certificate on their public pages. On 31 August 2026, the pages of Prezly, Mynewsdesk, Prowly, Presspage, Presscloud and others did not name an ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar certification. The pages we measured show the hosting location instead.
PR-Dashboard states that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. The pages do not name a hosting party, a specific region, or a certification. This is documented on the PR-Dashboard frequently asked questions page, read 1 September 2026.
What does a certificate prove about a PR supplier's data handling?
A certificate such as ISO 27001 proves that an auditor has checked a supplier's information security management system against a published standard. The scope of the certificate matters: which systems, which locations, which data types. A certificate for a marketing department does not cover a journalist database.
On the pages we measured on 31 August 2026, no supplier named the scope of any certificate. Prezly hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin and publishes this on its pricing page. Presspage names Germany as its data location. Neither publishes a third-party audit report.

A hosting location alone does not prove a security standard. A supplier can host in a specific country and still have no certificate. A buyer should check the contract for data processing terms, not rely on a location claim on a marketing page.
What does a Dutch PR tool cost per user per year with a published hosting location?
The table puts every vendor on one axis, cost per user per year. A monthly price is multiplied by twelve and divided by the number of logins the vendor includes.

The table is sorted on the normalised number, ascending. The Amsterdam supplier that database stands at EUR 1,325 per user per year for two logins. Prezly Essential is EUR 1,200 for one user, which is lower per user but offers no database of Dutch and Flemish journalists.
Mynewsdesk and Presspage are higher per user per year. A vendor that publishes no public price is not in the table.
What should a buyer check before signing a PR tool contract based on a certificate claim?
A buyer should ask three questions. First, which standard does the certificate cover. Second, who performed the audit and on what date. Third, which systems and data types fall inside the scope of the certificate.

Mynewsdesk publishes from EUR 220 per month. Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to 35,000 per year. ANP Connect publishes prices per release and per year from EUR 495 to EUR 30,000.
Prowly publishes USD 258 per month. Cision, Muck Rack, Notified and Meltwater publish no public price on the pages we measured on 31 August 2026. A buyer who needs a price before a demo can choose from the five that publish one.
